Chrome, 3D Bubbles and Jellyfish Nail Art

Chrome, 3D Bubbles and Jellyfish Nail Art

Hi, I’m Suzie from Nail Career Education and recently in my travels I came across these wonderful jellyfish And what goes with Jellyfish? Bubbles. That’s what I’m going to make today. Let’s get started. So I’ve chosen this beautiful polish It’s actually a two in one package You can get a matching lacquer and the gel polish which is exactly the same color one being just polish and one being gel. This is by Joya Mia. So I’ve got two coats of the color already applied. I’m going to get my glasses and my trusty stand. I do start with the longer finger because it is the easier finger this one’s a little bit harder for me to twist and these ones are a little shorter so I start with this one only because it’s just easier for the camera to see, that’s the only reason. I’ve got two coats all ready to go, and I’ve got the topcoat cured. So because it’s jellyfish I picked the blue so the jellyfish really pop and because I want it to pop even more I decided to pick a chrome as well So I’ve picked this kind of a blue And they do supply these little eye makeup applicators which are awesome So I do have a top coat of no wipe already on here ready to go Look how much it shines, oh my goodness. I mean not to say the ocean looks like this, but we’re bending reality, so we can make beautiful nails. I was only going to do it on the one but honestly I like it too much. I was even just going to do it at the tip You don’t need a ton of this stuff either just a little bit and then you just want to mirror it right up. Look at that. I’m sort of just wiping the dust away. That’s what I’m I rub it on and then I wipe the dust away Let’s not forget the thumb. Okay Put my chrome away. These are easy to lose so I always put it back in the box. I love this package I’ve never ever seen jellyfish before. as a sticker, that was pretty original. I usually fold it so I can get a little edge to come up. There we go. These are really really thin. I’ve used stickers over the years and they’re usually quite thick and I don’t like that because they bend up and stick up but these are nice and thin. Just lay it on. That translucent see how that’s kind of you can just see the blue right through it which is what it would really look like in the ocean And I can tell you that’s true because cameraman is an avid Scuba diver and he photographs stuff in the ocean all the time, so I have seen it and they do come together, don’t they cameraman? Like they they float around together? [Cameraman]: Oh yeah, I was diving in the Bahamas [Suzie]: Hmm [Cameraman]: We were at Shark Buoy which has a lot of sharks circling there and there’s lots of tiny little jellyfish. [Suzie]: I’ve seen them in an aquarium, it was really amazing, but that’s as close as I’ve gotten. Look at that. Isn’t that cute? [Cameraman]: It’s beautiful, I love it. [Suzie]: Well you would you’re an underwater guy. So, you have a choice of putting the jellyfish facing sort of the viewer when you’re showing a friend or you can make them so they’re facing you. Usually when I do designs it is to the viewer that’s seeing. Does that make any sense like if this was a face, the face would be looking at the viewer or myself when I go like that These are nice and thin, they stay down quite nicely So I’m going to go ahead and put these all over the nails and just make it look like a big collection of jellyfish that are swimming together just a one more Just a little baby one After you’ve applied all of your decals in this case our little jellyfish You want to put another coat of a no-wipe top coat on top. Especially for the next step that we’re going to do This does not have to be a thick coat just a nice and thin coat. That will seal in your chrome and your stickers. Okay, so I’m going to give that a 30-second cure. Okay, now once that’s cured, we’re going to put some of this in the dish Okay, then you’re going to get your dotting tool This is how we’re going to make the bubbles And we’re going to dip the dotting tool directly straight up and down you can put on the side Dip it in there pick up some of your gel but you’re going to drop it directly on the nail. Not on an angle like that drop it straight up and down. And the harder you press the bigger the bubble will be and the less you press the tinier the bubble will be. You’re sort of creating a 3D bubble. Okay, and then I’m going to flash cure that away from my gel in the little pot. And a flash cure you can just do it for about 5 or 10 seconds. And then I’m gonna go ahead and I’m gonna do some more bubbles. It’s kind of like a 3D bubble and with the chrome underneath you can see that it’s really kind of magnifying the chrome, it’s really pretty. I’ll just see if I can get two fingers in here, I just don’t want these bubbles to flatten so that’s why I’m trying to hurry before I nuke it. You can always add more bubbles too. Right. Do another quick flash cure I just hope no light is escaping and getting in my little pot. You’ll be able to feel them too and they literally will be 3D. Okay now I’m going to cure them all, that will be 30 seconds in an LED and 2 minutes in a UV lamp. Okay. That is so cute. Oh and you know what, you can actually feel this is a no wipe topcoat And if it was one that you had to wipe you just cleanse it with a little cotton pad with alcohol on it And then you can feel them. They are like little bubbles. That is so cute. [Cameraman]: Very nice. Okay, I’m going to finish the thumb, and we’re going to look at the reveal shots. I can’t wait to see these. I’d like to thank Joya Mia for sending me this wonderful product. I really love it. If you’d like to have it as part of your collection, Joya Mia is offering you a discount.
