Getting Cosmetic Surgery After Massive Weight Loss: Testimonial

my name is Noelle and I’ve had four
procedures done at the Austin Weston center and primarily my doctor has been
dr. Knotts I lost 120 pounds in seven months I mean and I did it with hard
work and exercise like that was it people kept telling me that oh the skin
will go back it’s gonna go back and it didn’t go back it didn’t go back and
then I had a kid and it got worse and I work out six days a week I eat really
well and nobody knew it cuz you couldn’t see it I remember having a conversation
of somebody I worked with and I mentioned something about running a half
marathon and he looked at me and said but you don’t look like a runner your
but you don’t have a runner’s body you know cuz you’ve got all this extra
weight and it wasn’t weight it was skin and I was like I don’t like that I want
to be what I’ve worked for I wanted to look like me and now I do the first
procedure that I had done was a tummy tuck they removed 13 inches of skin off
of my stomach so it was dramatic to say the least and they also tightened my
abdominal wall on the inside and sutured it because I had a baby and your abs
escape when you do that so they put them back in the right place then about five
weeks ago I had an arm lift done I also had a file if done and what’s known as a
body lift so they lifted my butt and they took all the skin off my hips so I
now have a bubble butt which is amazing never thought I’d have that for my tummy
tuck it was in the fourth week after surgery I actually went to my company’s
holiday party and was fine like you know danced a little bit like had a good time
and was okay the the basic you know to get back to where you feel like like
yourself again was probably about six to seven weeks so then I took about four or
five months to decide that I wanted to do the rest of the surgery is five weeks
ago so I mean and you wouldn’t know that I had had all of them done probably the
first week I tell everybody it’s hard it’s just a week it’ll pass and it’s a
lifetime of looking amazing after that so it’s just it’s really worth it to me
so I think the day after is actually far more important than the day of in my
opinion you know that night you go to sleep you come in the next day to see
the doctor and the it was the first time that they taken all the bandages off and
I cried because there was nothing there and it was just this overwhelming amount
of relief that all of a sudden it was like no this is I already love it now
like it’s already great so it’s only gonna get better from here and I’m
already happy so it was such a relief for me and dr. Knotts walked in was I
when I was crying and he was very upset and like what’s wrong but it’s like not
other good tears a good tears he’s pretty okay it was really a poignant
moment for me and something that really made it just like this was the right
thing I did their thing I almost exactly maybe like two pounds less than I was
when the surgery started and you don’t think about that right you don’t think
but so that number on the scale hasn’t changed but I had to buy an entirely new
wardrobe because I was a size 12 and I’m an eight now the biggest thing for me is
to actually look at myself like when I you know and I take my clothes off take
a shower I’m like oh yes that’s what I’m supposed to look like that’s who I’ve
seen in my head all this time that I couldn’t see in the mirror it’s it’s
like the reverse of body dysmorphic disorder like now I’m like oh yay I know
you hear that fear that really attractive lady that I had in my brain
all this time that I didn’t see
