Gintama’s KAGURA Cosplay MAKEUP TUTORIAL by Kawaii model Hikari Shiina

Let’s get a year’s worth of pickled seaweed (sukonbu). I LOVE Gintama! Gin-chan said to use these colors. You have to make it round! I am not a wig! My name is Katsura! (Katsura means wig in Japanese) Without a cotton bud … thou shall perish! Screen text : “What is this dialect?” (Kagura doesn’t speak like that) Today, I will turn myself into Gintama’s Kagura! I LOVE Gintama! I am REALLY looking forward to this. I have cosplayed as her once, but this time I plan to create a cosplay of a much higher quality! I used Etia coloured contact lenses. Totally close to Kakuya’s eye colour! This is the blush. The blush from Canmake. Cheap stuff. Small price cosmetics! Kagura has orange hair, so I chose an orange tinted blush. That’s important. I got an eyeshadow from Dodo. Bought it at the local drugstore. Super cheap stuff. Generally for Kagura’s eyes, I gotta mix these two colours. If you have a deep eye crease, I can advise you to apply it further up too. If you have a double lid crease, you can draw it on thinner, alright! Hide away the colors of your eyebrows with an eyebrow mascara. After you did that, use the blush from earlier again and add it to your eyebrows. That way you will get a warm color that is close to Kagura’s hair. You used the same colour on your cheeks, so all will be in balance. Add some to the outer corners of your eyes, right. If you do that right, then your brows, eyes and cheeks will all be in the same colour shading. This will totally make you look more like Kagura! Using this eyeliner, I will contour my upper waterline. I will use this liquid eyeliner for the rim of the eye. Kagura has round eyes, so this is important. Make it round, ok?! When applying make up, one thing that is important is… Check different expressions from different angles and decide which face you want to create. Next up is the eyelash curler. I will apply the base mascara, ok?! With that, at a cosplay event or other, your lashes will stay up the whole time. I can totally recommend this “Elegance” mascara. After the primer mascara, we are up for the real mascara deal. Instead of applying it to the whole area, keep it near the area over your iris. Make it look round, ok! On the bottom, under the iris, apply lots too. That way, you get closer to achieving Kagura’s round eyes, ok. I will apply an eyeshadow from Only Mineral on my inner corners. It sparkles and makes the blue of my eyes stand out more. Right at the end, use this pencil liner to shade in the outer corners. Blend it with a cotton bud. In my opinion, when doing the Kagura makeup, cotton buds are your way to victory! Kagura is still a kid so… … if the makeup looks too grown up, use the cotton bud to blend the colours in for a childish look. I am actually wondering myself how much I should shade the area. This probably looks alright. I want my face to have depth, so I will apply a nose shadow, ok. Gin-chan said to use these colours. Right, Sadaharu (Kagura’s pet)?! If it gets too strong, blend it carefully. Finally, I will use this gloss from Canmake. I chose a colour that gets close to her hair colour. Putting on a wig by yourself might be the most difficult task. Try your best guys. Important when doing her hair, is the jagged fringe here. If you are not good with scissors, try using a shaver cause it will naturally make it look jagged. Many wigs can’t stand much heat, so be careful guys. Since Kagura is still a child, I know it’s cosplay but if you wear makeup that is too strong, it will make you look too grown up. It’s not easy to do a natural cosplay makeup To know how to keep a light cosplay look is very important. I think that will show the most how much you respect Kagura’s character. Right, Sadaharu (Kagura’ pet)?! Let’s get a year’s worth of pickled seaweed (sukonbu). – It smells sweet. – It does?! YAY! Awesome! I thought I could actually live on without using an eyeshadow. Be careful with the iron… OUCH!! HOT! HOT! Guys, be careful with the hot iron. I will draw my waterline… Oh shoot, my lingo has returned to normal. I am getting too much into this. Can I do that again? In order to give my face an accent and more depth, I will … Ah no, I am talking normal language again. Without a cotton bud … Thou shall perish! (Oops, character changed ( ̄Д ̄;;] Thou shall perish! Thou shall perish!? … Thou shall perish!! Please turn that into a good pun. Alright, I will add the toupee now. My name is not wig ! My name is Katsura! This is the line of a character called “Katsura” (literally: “Wig”) who appears in Gintama. Pull it down around your neck. Ah, I can’t breathe!!! It will be done soon. Ah it’s hard to hold that pose! I love Gintama! I love the silly parts and the dark parts. The manga “Koroshiya 1” You need to check it out, all the characters are weird! Also Higanjima! I really want to cosplay that series! Let’s do a cosplay tutorial of that next time. It’s not cute at all though. I wanna cosplay as HomuHomu! I want to cosplay as Homura! Devil Homura! (Madoka Majika series) Japanese, Chinese, American … Daemon!!! Eyes love! So grateful. Thank you! (in Chinese) Licking eyeballs. Thank you DESU! When I was straying off the path a little, I was not accepted at school and hid away inside my house. Hoping that if I became a model, no matter my fashion, I could be accepted at school, I applied to become a model. I decided that myself.
