Guapo – the men’s cosmetics brand gaining visibility with AdWords


My mum worked in cosmetics
for women, and realised – a lot of men came in,
but there wasn’t much to offer them. She thought there should be a shop
just for men, so we went for it – opened a shop just for guys. We have a store in Luleå,
a small town in northern Sweden. The market here is pretty limited,
so we realised pretty quickly we also needed an online presence. The great thing about having a store
and working online is that in our shop we get to meet
our customers and see what they want, what they think,
and what they demand. Online we can reach out
to a bigger crowd. When you start out online,
the first question is always: “where do we need to be seen?” I’d heard about Google, and especially
Google AdWords, which we use. What we like about Google: they help
us see what requirements are out there which keywords we should focus on,
and what men actually want.
