I Tried Different 1920s Makeup Looks

I feel like I might end up looking like up and punched oh oh hello I don’t think wow this is gonna be interesting [Music] hey guys I’m Chloe and I love love love makeup I also think that history is pretty cool so what fair way to combine those two things than to try to recreate a makeup look of the past I’ve actually already dived into 1920s makeup in another video I didn’t do the makeup myself for that though and I didn’t try and wear it as like a daily normal work also people hated my scary eyebrows so I went to Besame in Burbank California because they sell amazing makeup and it is not only the prettiest stuff ever but it is like accurate two decades of the past and I have a 1920s collection we have the best Amalia lipstick two different shades two different blushes cake mascara and then this is brightening powder and then this is my CVS stuff I’m gonna try and use like this green this one is also a common one like just a matte gray so hopefully I have everything I need for these two different looks and hopefully I’ve done enough research to know what I’m doing challenge starts tomorrow let’s go I think today I’m gonna do the gray eyeshadow because I’m wearing a gray top because I’m a great person so let’s start with the foundation I don’t know if they really had foundation I think I really just walk powder but I believe I put the brightening powder over it it’ll lighten me up all right I’m ready Matt next up would be I suppose the I shall oh I’m so used to having like 20 different stages so I make up the this seems way too simple gray was very popular look they didn’t wear it above their crease so they didn’t have any like you know out here I feel like I might end up looking like up and punched this is the great I don’t Club it and then they put Kohl eyeliner and smudged it all around their eyes I know I don’t look good with alone and below my eye so this is gonna be interesting and yeah it looks pretty emo is that it like cool so a huge part of the 1920s look worthy eyebrows I have microfarad eyebrows and this is as small as they can get all the movie stars I had them plucked super super thin because they thought it was more expressive a tiny bit concealer over the top and see what happens it definitely looks thinner than it did next I will do skaara Scarah Oh wet the cake and I guess we just do this I’m not if you won’t do it eyes done I think yeah she looked quite good I don’t mind this look I thought I’d be a little bit disappointed and think that my eyes just look dirty next we’re gonna do the powder visions on us and hopefully it’ll make me look brighter and paler I guess you just Pat it on right oh uh yep you can see that oh god I’ll take it with me to work so that I can just keep flying and looking even more pale time for oh this is apricot we say apricot in England but apricot oh oh hello well quite right I like it though this is a look oh my god I guess we’re on the last thing or anything ready in the 1922 it mean way easier than today I’m now gonna put lipstick I think I’ve used a lip brush like once in my life so they exaggerate their Cupid’s bow and then they didn’t go all the way out here they like came in a little bit here so their lips looked more like I’m doing alright so this is the finished look for day one I like it actually I really didn’t think I would but I’m warming to it let’s go to work and let’s see what everyone thinks of this you didn’t do that no I did do it but it’s reminiscent of a certain specific thing my whole face is actually from a specific decade Oh very close I feel like this is the 20s because in motion pictures and films and stuff they had to like really do to like dramatic things to like so you could see Susan black-and-white if it’s but yeah you look like Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman oh now that I look at you Tamar I’m like you are like an old-timey like actor so I just had a meeting with my manager and I definitely felt a little weird just because I’m used to wearing makeup that makes me feel comfortable in professional situations I do feel a little bit like I’m wearing like dress-up makeup no one’s been like what are you wearing your face but I I am looking forward to putting my regular makeup back on but I can’t do that front of the day because I have another look to go through all right look – I already have my foundation on I think we’re gonna go with the green eyeshadow today damn that is dark I mean I do like it better than yesterday’s because at least it’s got some color to it well how do you think looks a little patchy to me but I can’t really fix it flushed my eyes are watering so that’s fun time for the old Kohl eyeliner I want to try and bring it out further today because it might make my eyes look a little bigger I can’t see what I’m doing at all I really feel like when I was like 12 years old and playing around with makeup and didn’t know what I was doing once again scary eyebrows look too bad I wish that they were more downward turning I can’t do it I rush us to perfect mascara time and we don’t mascara I really feel like I look like a MySpace kid I need to take a selfie with a real digital camera right now but I think when I add the cheeks and the lips it will change things I’m gonna look like I haven’t seen the Sun in about ten years I mean not like I hate being pale but it’s like with all the darkness as well it’s a striking difference between the two going to do the dark red one which is called crimson I’ll start with a very small amount oh there it is Jesus Christ hey nothing is blending today this is all my fault and makeup artist it’s just too like deep red for me I think the show must go on I must continue okay last thing is lips while that is dark I like that color though it’s not very red you have this idea in your mind of what twenties look is I always thought it was like red lips but I guess they had different shades obviously why wouldn’t they oh they’re crooked tada I feel like it looks a lot more red now it’s on my lips than it did in the actual tube it’s a little different from yesterday but not too crazy different we’ll see your people thing yesterday your account woman are you poison ivy today I think in the Tonys when we go I definitely feel more self-conscious walking around today I think that’s partly because this is generally supposed to be in light look for the 20s you wouldn’t walk around in the day looking like this I just don’t think it suits me it kind of brings out your eyes or it’s cool oh it’s cool I like today’s I look more than I liked yesterday’s it’s a bit too dramatic for like daytime especially at BuzzFeed yeah to me this look is a little aged it’s kind of obvious that like I’m not really with the times and I feel like I’m a kid that is like playing with makeup and doesn’t really know what they’re doing I’m glad I tried it and it’s definitely parts of it I do like I do want to learn more code lipsticks that have bolder because why not so I’m back in my normal look and I’m very happy about that but it was a really cool challenge to do because it’s just interesting to see how makeup has changed over time I kind of want to go through other decades now and see what they’re all like what decades you want to see next I’m thinking of doing the 50s would you think about that mmm hmm hmm okay bye [Music]
