So let’s go ahead and jump in and I will create this makeup look with you right now Alright, let’s get started on this glam makeup look for a party a Christmas party Um, these are my favorite looks as far as like doing a themed look for any given time of the year I just love the looks for Christmas because a lot of times you get these really bold looks but I love the classic Miss if that’s a word of These looks and so what I want to do with you guys today is create a very classic gold makeup. Look for your eyes But we’re gonna give the lips a punch and if you’ve watched my video from last year and I’ll link it for you I did a punch with the lips last year as well and the eyes it was really straight-up glam eyes and lips So check it out It’s kind of old you can even you know, shoot me some like notes in the comments on like hey girl We’re glad to see you’ve improved your video quality anything like that would be fine But I’d love for you to check it out. It was a really fun. Look a super cool. So check it out but this year we’re gonna simplify it just a little bit because this is really a look that you could honestly do like going to An ugly a party like this one my sweater by the way says, oh snap. Let’s see. Can you see it? Oh snap Got it from Target last year. Love it And then of course, you could also wear this look if you’re gonna go out and you’re gonna be super duper fancy So I wanted to give you guys something that was versatile that you could really just wear as many different events as you want So let’s go ahead and jump in and get going. We’re gonna use the fall and defrost palette from morphe The reason I love this palette is because it literally has so many options when it comes to golds um, it’s just like I don’t know no matter what your skin tone is no matter what kind of flavor of gold you like You’re gonna find it in this palette. So it’s a really great palette and I bought it last winter I think it was like 15 bucks, um at Ulta so you can either you know, Check it out there and I’ll throw a link down below. Of course. You want to check it out on Amazon? But this is a really great palette and I love it. So that’s we’re gonna use today Nothing more than this palette you all know how I feel about using multiple palettes and makeup looks I like to keep it simple So the first thing we’re gonna do is get going on those eyes I’ve already primed my eyes, of course, and then I do have on a BB cream from earlier and some angry eyebrows That will tame down in a little bit. They’re just kind of framed in but they’re real angry today I don’t know what the deal is. But anyway, we’re gonna do that And so let’s go ahead and jump in with this eye makeup look So I’m going to start with and these colors don’t have names So sorry all I’m going to jump in with this color here for our transition So let’s get building on that with just a big crease brush. That is nice and fluffy Alright next come our we’re gonna go in with is right next to that one So we’re just gonna darken it up a little bit Oh kidding. It’s over one We’re gonna actually darken it up with this Brown right here just to start building that deepness into the crease So let’s do that next I’m using a little bit more of a pointy brush for this one just to really dig into the hollow part of my eye Alright so from my third color, I’m gonna switch brushes again And I’m using something that is actually a little bit more flat of a crease brush and I just like this because of the angle That I always try to create with my eyes I tell you guys this all the time but having hooded eyes I really try to create as much of a lift and like a cat-like Effect on the outer third or that outer V part of my eyes I possibly can and this brush from the Jacqueline Hill palette has been the most coolest brush for me to get For that particular part of my eye So that’s what I’m gonna use and we are actually gonna go in with this color right here again I don’t know the name of it, but I really love the bronze enos, but it’s like a dark bronze. It’s like It’s a cooler bronze. Is that even a thing? Like I know bronzes are typically warm but I just love this color and We’re gonna go in with that on the outer third of the eye. So you guys will start to see this come to life now All right So what we’ll do now is we’ll just kind of slightly drag this color over Just a little bit just to blend it in to the Browns that are already up there I’m not dragging it over super far. We’re just lightly Dragging it and just so it starts to give you that really nice gradient effect on that outer third I’m gonna bring this mirror and just a wee bit closer for me It’s the same thing on this eye as you can see my eyes are very lifted because of the direction that I put the eyeshadow And again, you’re just gonna have to play with this because everybody’s eye shape is different So my recommendation before trying to makeup look before you go anywhere if it’s new always give it a run through at least one So, you know exactly what you need to fix because it sucks to have a makeup look that you are Trying for the first time and then you get done with it and you’re like, holy crap This does not look like how I wanted it to and I have to go I’ve had that happen before And I’m self-conscious all night, and that is not what you want. So give it a try before you actually go somewhere Okay Let’s move on to the actual gold parts now in the center of the eye and that’s gonna bring this a little bit more life Than what it has right now. So I’m actually going to use this pretty gold right here on the center of my lid So here we go with that. Oh And I’m taking a flat shader brush and I think this one’s dirty. So we’ll just we’ll just give it a little cleanup here I got a towel sin here on my desk. I’ll just clean it off a little bit. I did not wash my brushes. I’m sorry Alright, here we go All right, perfect, so now we’re gonna go ahead and move on to the rest of the face And so I’m just gonna kind of speed up this process for you guys until we get to the actual lips And we give that some pizazz I can’t promise Santa’s coming to visit Okay, so before we finish up the rest of our face we’re gonna go ahead and actually do the lower lashline shadow so what I’m gonna do is basically take those same colors and Recreate the sequence underneath my eyes that’s on my active this sequence the right word here. I don’t even know where that came from Recreate the look that I have on the upper part of my lids. I’m just not gonna use the gold I’m just gonna darken it So we’re gonna start with the first color that we use for transition, which was this one right here So we’ll do that one first you Can just take a pencil brush and you just want to sweep it along that lower lash line Sometimes I kind of um, I do it pretty sloppy and then you can always go back in and blend it out It’s not really it’s not a huge deal The main thing you want to make sure of is that you do in fact blend it out so that it doesn’t get super low And make your eyes look droopy So that’s important especially as you start to use those darker colors and build a fat color underneath the lash line So we’ll go in with our second color, which was that darker brown And now we’ll go in with our last color And that was that cool bronzy color that I said that doesn’t even make any sense because bronze is warm But whatever you get what I’m saying? It’s this darker darker darker gold that we’re gonna use here for the lower lash line and as you can see It’s already starting to frame my eyes a little bit just because I’ve added that darkness underneath the lower lash line So this is gonna help do that even though we bit more so just add that Boom all right, so now we’ll finish the rest of the face Isn’t that amazing We’ll be chilling and having a good good All right So now we are at my favorite part of this look for this Christmas look which is gonna bring it all together and that is to do a really classic red bold lip But we’re gonna punch it up like I mentioned in the very beginning of the video So the first thing I’m gonna do is go ahead and line my lips with a red lip liner So I’ll do that just because red lipstick is one of those things that you pretty much have to get perfect I think you can say that about any dark lipstick You can kind of get away with mess-ups on things that are lighter and don’t show us much error But red is really not forgiving so I always line my lips just to make sure that I’m staying within the lines And luckily for me. I was good at coloring in between the lines as a kid So if you struggle with that I would really recommend practicing Because it’s the hardest thing is trying to make sure that your lipstick is perfectly even and I’m not one of those girls who likes to conceal and do all that crap after I take a few minutes to put my lipstick on so let’s go ahead and put our liner on so what I like to do, this is just kind of a new technique and in fact I need to sharpen this because it’s not very sharp. Um, one of the things that I have been doing lately Um, I can’t even remember where I saw this or how long ago it was It just dawned on me a couple weeks ago when I was applying another dark lipstick for another look that we were doing um, and oh, I hope I don’t forget to put mascara on so You know what? Let me do that now because I will forget so and I already had a coat on earlier just from earlier today But let me just do that so we don’t forget Cuz you guys I’m notorious for forgetting steps when I’m filming with you and then let’s also set my face We’re going all kinds of out of order, but that’s all right. You guys know by now I Forget things. Okay. So let’s go to put our mascara on another way. You can totally ramp up Your Christmas looks is to add false lashes This is definitely the one time of year that I will do that and wear false lashes I’m just not doing it for this video because I really wanted you to feel like when you left from watching this today that you could recreate it and you already have hopefully Most of the items in your makeup drawer at home that you could do this with so I’m not gonna add false lashes And you don’t have to leave it, but you can if you want All right back to those lips, so the trick I was talking about was taking my liner and especially if you have a Cupid’s bow, this is one of those things that you want to look even um, And if you don’t have a Cupid’s bow Or don’t have much of one. You can fake your Cupid’s bow a little bit with this trick, too So what I do is I will take my liner And I will run the pencil straight down one side and straight down the other and basically create an X in the center of my lips and this really helps to Make sure that my lips are centered if that makes sense Especially if you over draw it all and it just gives you a nice way to make sure that your lines are where they should Be so you’ll see what I mean And now I have something to work with So that’s what makes this really? Easy is drawing an X and then you can fill in your lip liner around the rest of your lips So do that next if you’re following along like in real time do that next I can’t promise Santa’s come in the VIS All right, so my lip liner is long and as you can see I colored in my lips and what that does Is it a helps as you like even drinks or the knife? It’s gonna kind of keep your lipstick on um So no matter what you use it just gives you a really nice solid base to help like keep that color super deep and dark Or vibrant on your on your face on your lips so that I always do that whenever I wear reds I always always always color in my lipstick unless I’m trying to get a more of a contrast from the lip liner Like a two-tone kind of thing rarely do I do that? But the majority of the time I will color in my lips and that makes sure that it stays on So the other thing I want to do just so we don’t get lipstick on my teeth and I’ll do this after I put lipstick on too, but I Always put my finger in my mouth. Hopefully your fingers clean. If you don’t want to do that if it gross you out I’m sorry, but I do it it works. I’m gonna do that just to keep lipstick from getting on my teeth And now we’re gonna go in with NYX soft matte lip cream I love this color, and I’m going to put that on my lips over top of the liner Alright so the lip color is on let’s do the whole finger trick one more time. If you don’t like this part close your eyes And that’s why I do it cuz oh my gosh, seriously That is a lot of color and I’ve been one of those people that’s been like smiling and feeling good and they’ll a sudden somebody doesn’t tell you and you have lipstick on your teeth for 30 minutes That’s embarrassing. Okay, so you can totally do this right here and this can be your holiday glam Look you could wear it anywhere. But as I mentioned I want to give this another punch And so what we’re gonna do is add some freakin de litter and this is what makes me super excited I love glitter around this time of year. I feel like the older I get the less opportunity I have to wear glitter. So Christmas is one of those opportunities and New Year’s that I always do glitter makeup So what we’re gonna do is start glitter on her lips. I’ve had this product for ever Forever you guys probably three maybe four years when I worked in Sephora It was something and I hope I say it right I think I bet you’re it every year but say that day It came out with and it’s a glitter red or red glitter for your lips And there’s a little bit of glitter and glue so we’re gonna do is put this on our lips and this is seriously gonna like vibe up your Lip life now. If you don’t have this exact product, you can just get yourself some red glitter and then grab You can go to Sally’s and get this glitter glue. I don’t know like it doesn’t say you can’t put it on your lips I really wouldn’t worry about it. If you just want to dab a little bit you could totally use that too This one was just like made for lips, but you don’t have to have that product to make this work That glitter glue is like 99 cents of Sally’s so try that If you don’t have this product exactly you can give it that a whirl and see if it works for you so obviously it’s very, you know, big IDO and so we’re just gonna dab our lips You know what, we’re not gonna dad we’re gonna go all over him all over let’s just glitter it up y’all it’s My favorite All right, and then you take your glitter And if your glitter container doesn’t have a wand like this tissues your finger, but it is gonna get a little bit of everywhere so it’s okay though, then you just Ready that’s the favorite part Glitter lips are my fav y’all cuz it just makes like this makeup look is really pretty on its own but it just gives that extra Flare and pizzazz and Everyone’s gonna be staring at your lips all night, and it’s not because you have lipstick on your teeth It’s because they’re so freakin pretty from the light bouncing off that glitter girl. So yeah And you can put as much or as little as you want, here’s the cool thing This particular product and I’ll link it for you below Hopefully they have it still. I don’t know Hmm. It’ll stay on your lips all night Like you don’t have to worry about it coming off on things like our fallout is really what I’m trying to say You’re not gonna have fallout all over your lips from this for whatever reason this glue works really well. So can you guys see How glittery my lips are it’s so pretty Alright, so that is a wrap on this makeup video My question for you down in the comments is glitter or no glitter I would love to know all the reasons that you love glitter and where your favorite places to wear it on your face are if You love it, if you hate it, I want to know that too and I really want to know if you do hate it What do you do in like place of glitter at this time of year?
