Natural Makeup Brands & Tutorial

Natural Makeup Brands & Tutorial

You asked for it, and here it is! Natural makeup brands and tutorial. I’m Hannah Crews, you guys. I love all things natural. I love essential oils. Especially from Young Living! And I’ve kind of transferred my life from
using all kinds of terrible chemical filled products to products that are good for me, and that don’t have any harmful and terrible
toxins inside of them. But I’ll tell ya what, makeup was the last
thing that I transferred over. It took me forever to find brands that I liked that to me, actually did my face justice,
I guess? And so I’m here to share with you the exciting
brands that I have found that have been excellent, not only in the
ingredients that they have in all of these products, but they’ve been excellent for my face. So, the first brand that I’m going to feature
is called withSimplicity. They are an awesome, awesome makeup line out
of Virginia, and they are vegan, gluten-free, cruelty free, zero fragrance
oils, only genuine therapeutic grade essential oils that are inside their products, and also the
extracts of those oils. And they have an awesome makeup line. You can find all of their products on withSimplicityLLC.com. But I kind of use like a smorgasbord of brands,
okay. The next brand that I like to use is 100%
Pure. 100% Pure is an awesome brand. They are 100% natural. 100% cruelty-free, 100% free of any artificial
colors, fragrances, synthetic chemicals, or preservatives or any other kind of harmful toxins – you’re
not going to find that in those products. And you can view all of their makeup in their
entire line on 100PercentPure.com. And then I’ve got the beloved Sweet Savvy
Minerals, you guys! Sweet Savvy is faaaabulous. They are gluten free, cruelty free, paraben free, bismuth
free, talc free. All kinds of free. You can see all kinds of pretty colors and
pretty products on her website which is SweetSavvyMinerals.com. Last but not least, guess what, Young Living
actually has a lip gloss! And I use it. YoungLiving.com. If you’re not a member with Young Living,
you need to be! Their products are amazing. And I love their lip gloss. Ok, so now that you know the brands that I
use, let’s put makeup on together! Get ready. You’re about to see me in all my glory. All my natural, makeup-free glory. Might be the only time that you see me like
that. Oh, well what do you know! There’s a little child walking into my video! This very professional moment is dedicated
to you, Barbie M. Okay, for real. Let’s put on some makeup. Right? Yeah? Okay! Okay, so once my face is all fresh and clean,
washed, scrubbed off, moisturizer, all that good stuff. Once that’s all done, my first product that
I put on is my foundation. And this is the one that I get with withSimplicity. And it’s their Natural Organic Botanical Liquid
Foundation in Shade 2. Oh my god, it’s so dirty! Sorry. I probably should have cleaned this off before
I did a video. That’s what I get for throwing all of my makeup
in the makeup bag. And yes, I pump it in my hands. And I use my hands to do my makeup. I know, I probably shouldn’t. But I mean, I wash my hands before. Is that okay? Honestly, you guys, this stuff smells so good. Like, that’s one of the huge reasons why I
love this foundation was because it smells like candy. Cookies. Whatever. I could just eat it all up. I’m sure you could, since it’s like, natural
ingredients. Totally kidding, by the way. Don’t eat your makeup. So, once my foundation is evenly applied, the next thing that I do is get my Sweet Savvy
Minerals blush. This is their mineral blush in “I do believe
you’re blushing.” Now, it’s a loose powder, so you’ve gotta
be careful. I’ve made the mistake of like, totally getting
stuff everywhere. So, whenever you open it, be very very careful. Some of it, you know, it tends to come out. But that’s nice, because all I gotta do is
just grab my brush and just gently dab. And then whenever I’m getting the blush on
the brush, I just quickly just blow it, really quick. Just so I don’t get any like, stuff just stuck
in clumps on my face. And when I apply blush, I like to apply it
kind of like underneath the cheekbone a little bit right there. See? Kind of like this area right here? I don’t really want to get it up here because
this area is kind of an area that you want to pop out like as a lighter color. But this area we want just a little bit darker,
a little bit more rouge, okay? So, I’m going to get my blush, and I’m just
going to kind of swipe it down right beneath the cheekbone. So, once my blush is applied, then the next
thing that I like to use is the Gemmed Luminizer from 100% Pure. And the color that I use is Rose Gold. It doesn’t really look Rose Gold, but to me,
it’s more of a bronzer type of look, and so I really like this stuff. So, what I do, since this is a pressed powder, I don’t really have to worry about a lot of
it clumping up on my brush. But I still do a quick **blow**, just in case
I get anything clumpy on there. But once I get enough on my blush brush, I
again go just a little along the little line right
here. Right underneath the cheekbone. And I also like to do a little bit on the
very top of my forehead, kind of like close to where the scalp is. And what that does, is it kind of gives it
an illusion that this part of your forehead comes out a little bit more. It stands out a little bit more. Lots and lots of makeup artists do it, I love
the look of it. So, I’ll do right here, just atop, close to
my hairline on my forehead, and then I’ll also do kind of like my temples
area. I’ll kind of get that area, too. And once that’s done, I like to get my little
palette. My handy dandy palette. Which has a lot of different thing in here
that I like to use for a lot of different things. It’s also from 100% Pure, but it’s called
Pretty Naked II. It’s got all these pretty colors in here,
look. I even like to use this kind of rose color
for a blush sometimes. And these three, I love to use them on my
eyes for eyeshadow type of thing. But, this one is the one that we’re going
to use right now. This one is like a lighter, probably used
as an eyeshadow, but I like to use this as my highlighter. And what I mean by highlighter is, remember how I was talking about how we want our cheekbones
to be the part that really pops out on our face? Well, I’m going to grab this light color and I’m going to put it right on top of the
cheekbone right here. Just so that that really stands out. It’s really beautiful in pictures, it’s beautiful
in video, and it’s really pretty in natural light, too. It’s awesome. So I like to put it right there on my cheekbones,
also a little bit on my chin right here, just to have this part kind of
pop out a little bit, too. And then I like to put it right here above
where my eyebrows are, kind of like this little triangular area, I like this part to be highlighted just a
slight little smidge. So, I will highlight just above that area
right here. And then also, just a little bit on the bridge
of my nose. Whenever you highlight the bridge of your
nose like this, it allows your nose to appear smaller for
some reason. Which I like. I was born with big noses in my family. And the reason that I like these brands also, because yes, they’re natural, but it gives
the appearance of this healthy, glowing, luminous type of
skin. Which of course, as we get older, we all want
our skin to look just luminous and glowing. And so I love that about this. Do you see? Every time I move into the light? Kind of like, “Laaaaa” Okay, next thing I’m going to be doing is
my eyelashes. And now, I know this isn’t conventional as
far as all these, like, makeup video peeps. They always do eyeshadow first, and eyeliner
first, and then their eyelashes last. But I have a little bit of a problem. My eyelashes are kind of long, and so sometimes, when I put on my mascara, and if I put on my, like, eyeshadow before, the mascara gets on my eyeshadow, and I have
to do it all over again. So, for me, this is what I do first. I’ll get out my handy dandy eyelash curler, which is filthy disgusting. Why didn’t I think about cleaning these before
this video? Oh my god. And now, here it is! The mascara that I love! It’s also from withSimplicity. Love it! It is so great. And the color is like straight up black. Simple. Aah!! See what I mean? So check it out! Isn’t that amazing what mascara can do? Let me get a good angle here. Can y’all see? Now, I don’t wear eyeliner a lot of times. But, if you really want to glam it up, I love
this eyeliner, which is also from 100% Pure. And whenever I put on eyeliner, I literally
get it so close to the rim of my eyelashes, where like the hairs are like growing out. That’s exactly where I put my eyeliner. And again, I know a lot of these, like, makeup
video people, they like, do their eyeliner like last, or
whatever. But, I’m one of those people that, I would
totally ruin my eyeshadow if I put on eyeliner. Honestly. At least my eyeshadow can like cover up my
mistakes. Also, a little fun fact about Hannah Crews. I like to make fun of myself, a lot. And this eye is kind of lazy, like a little
droopy. So what I do is try to disguise it by putting
a little bit thicker eyeliner over here compared to over here. Oh, god. Alright! Next up, holla holla! Same exact little palette. I love it so much. So, my naked II palette from 100% Pure, Pretty naked? Yeah, pretty naked. Pretty Naked II palette. These three, one two three, right here, I
love to use for my eyeshadow. But again, this one, which I also use as my
highlighter, I like to use this as part of my eyeshadow, too, and I’ll tell you the trick about this. I like to get one of the darker colors and
put it on my little brush, and then apply it more on the crease of my
eyelid. So, you see like the natural crease right
here? Whenever you open and close your eyes, there’s
like a natural crease right here in the middle. And so that is where I put the darker color, because it causes my eyes to pop out a little
bit more whenever I apply a darker color right there. It just kind of gives like an illusion of
a shadow. Or something. Which is good. You naturally have a shadow there, anyway. So you see what happens whenever you put the
darker color right there? It also allows your eyelashes, the dark part
of your eyelashes, to really pop out, which is cool. And then I’ll take one of the lighter colors, probably this color right here. It’s so hard to do on video. I’ll take this color and I’ll put it on the
actual eyelid, this part. And I just try not to, you know, get it on
my eyeliner or whatever. So, next is the fun part. Okay. So, now I get this really really light color
right here, and I’m going to put it on my little brush, but I’m going to apply this super light color
right here below my eyebrow hair line. Right here. And that causes my brow bones to pop out a
little bit. And once I’m done with that, the next thing
I like to do is I like to put a little bit of that super light color, again,
just like right here, on the little, you know, tear duct area of
my eye. And that also allows my eyes to just kind
of look all glowy and googly-eyed. So, now that all of that’s done, we’ve got
my favorite part, which is lips. I’m kind of a lip fanatic, and so you don’t have to like, go all out
like I do with my lips. But, there is two lipsticks that I love, and
they’re from Sweet Savvy Minerals. I love her lipsticks. Oh my gosh. This color is called Miss Congeniality, and
I like it. It’s kind of a blush, pink, shimmery type
of color. And
I like it if it’s like a “lighter color day,” and I like, want to wear like a lighter, more
neutral color. But sometimes I like to layer my lipsticks! And this is another color from Sweet Savvy
Minerals, I think this is called, oh gosh, Summer Break. Summer Break! That’s what it is. So I’ll put this one on top of this too. So some of you might be like, “Okay! She’s done!” Actually I’m NOT! Because to top it all off, again, I told you, I’m a lip fanatic, okay. I like to apply Young Living’s L’Briante Lip Gloss! This is the neutral color. And I’ll just put it right on top. It just allows it to, oh my god I got it on
my teeth! It just allows it to be a little bit glossier,
smoother, easy to smack your lips like that. What I also love about Young Living’s lip
gloss is it also, on this other side, there’s this like clear
side. This side is like a blend of essential oils
that you can use as like a beautiful perfume. It smells so good. So what I’ll do is apply it right her behind
my ears right here, on my wrists right here, so I’m not spraying on that synthetic, ugly
crap of perfume that’s out there right now, y’all. Just don’t use perfume. Use essential oils from Young Living, okay? So now that my makeup is on, I want it to
stay on, right? I want it to set, and I don’t want it to be
melting off throughout the day. So, I will grab this awesome setting powder
that withSimplicity also has. It is super, super great. It’s called Diamond Dust. It’s a great mineral setting powder. So, it’s kind of a loose powder, if you can
see that. So since it’s loose, all I gotta do is just
dab my brush into it a little bit. And then just kind of swipe over my face a
little bit. Just so that my makeup isn’t going to come
off all day. I mean, makeup is an art. Do you want your beautiful masterpiece to
be, like, you know, ruined and fading throughout the day? I don’t think so! So there you have it, folks! I hope I was able to answer all your of your
questions. And how you can get an awesome glamorous look with products that don’t have terrible unglamorous,
awful ingredients and stuff. There are awesome products out there that
are there to achieve and help you enhance your natural beauty. And remember, makeup or not, you are fearfully
and wonderfully made. God didn’t make any mistakes whenever he created
your face. Whether you think your face is crooked, whether
you think you have a lazy eye like I do, whether you
think you have big nostrils or whatever like I do, God didn’t make any mistakes when He made
you. So be confident whether you wear makeup or
not. And have a beautiful day.
