No Surgery Double Eyelid Tape Glue & Fibre Tutorial ♥ 3 Products B&A Monolid & Hooded Lid ♥ Wengie

[ DOUBLE EYELID PRODUCTS ] Hi guys! It’s Wengie here.
Welcome back to my channel and today I have a very interesting video which is all about double eyelid TAPES PRODUCTS GLUE STICKERS Those of you that don’t know what these are, maybe you wanna keep watching so you can find out what Asian girls do to create pretty eyelids. I actually remember the first time I encountered a double eyelid product. My best friend growing up was Japanese and, at the time, her friend came back from Japan and bought her a souvenir and it was this little tube of double eyelid glue. We both had double eyelids so we were kinda sitting on the bus on the way home going “What can we do with this glue?”. So it came with this fork-like thing that pretty much looked like you could poke yourself in the eye with it and we were pretty scared to use this and it also came with the tube of glue which is white colored. Kinda reminded us of PVA glue. So we kinda like brushed it onto our eyelids and poked our eyes with this forky thing and managed to glue our eyelids together in the exact same shape as we had normally but, this time we just couldn’t close our eyes ’cause our eyelids were stuck together. Technology has changed and people have developed amazing products to create double eyelids these days. The glue is still around and at least I know how to use it now and I wanna thank my boyfriend as well because he actually donated his monolids to me to try these products on as well so, I’m gonna be trying them on my eyelids which are double eyelids and my boyfriend’s eyelids and if you wanna find out who my boyfriend is, I did a boyfriend tag a couple videos ago which I’ll link here and down below so check that out afterwards and meet him. If you haven’t subscribed to my channel already, I do two videos a week, and if you wanna receive notifications, click this button here and I give welcome hugs to everyone that joins. For those of you guys that like these sort of videos where I explore weird beauty cultural products, please give this a thumbs-up and I’ll do more of these. Without further ado, let’s jump straight into these products and have a look at how they perform and what different types of double eyelid products you can use. [TAPE & STICKERS ] Now the first product I want to talk about are double eyelid tapes and these are probably the easiest to use out of all the double eyelid products. They’re basically little stickers shaped into strips that you just stick on top of you eyelid to create that double eyelid. I bought these ones from Japan so if you watched my Japan Haul or Japan Vlog, this is what I bought in Don Quijote. And the thing about these double eyelid tapes is these ones, you can put eye products on top. Ideally you use a sort of like a cream or very very thick powder shadow to hide it but generally these are pretty obvious when you actually wear them. You can see them when your eyes are closed and sometimes when your eyes are half closed. That’s the downside of these products but they do create that double eyelid and they’re perfect if you wanna take photos because, in photos, you won’t be able to tell when you blink that there’s a sticker in your eyelid. So first I tried it on my boyfriend’s monolids, so you just basically stick them on If you don’t know where to stick them on, what you want to do is you can find one of these little pokey things that I have and you can find these in any eyelid glue or even just use a little thin toothpick and then you basically mark the line where you want that lid to fold and the top of the sticker should sit on that particular line and that’s where you stick your sticker and so, when you go stick it on and you open your eyes, it should create that little fold and these have worked on this very heavy monolid eye which is great so this is a great product but not all stickers will work so you can trial and error until you find one that you like. I also tried this sticker on my double eyelids to create a thicker double eyelid and it went on really really evenly and created a beautiful double eyelid which stayed. Fun fact is I tried to use these double eyelids stickers to train my eyelids to be thicker, and it actually worked. I wore it for 24 hours and after I took it off, the line kind of stayed for an extra couple of hours afterwards, which is very very interesting, so if you have less hooding or less fat on your eyelids, you can possibly use these to train your eyelids to hold at a certain shape for a little while except I didn’t really like how it looks because it made me look a little bit sleepy ’cause it pushed the skin down a little bit. [ GLUE ] The next double eyelid product I want to talk about is double eyelid glue and I actually got this from Daiso for $2.70 because this is not something I normally use so… It comes with this little fork which is really really cute. It’s here to poke and help you create that shape and to stick your eyelids together. And the double eyelid glue. This one is clear, it can also come in a sort of white-ish product. It depends on the brand of glue you get as to how strong it holds. Because I got this from Daiso, I found that it doesn’t hold very strongly. It may not work for a heavy monolid for a very long time. As you blink during the day, it’s gonna gome off. Maybe a little bit uncomfortable at first if you are not used to it, because it actually feels like your eyelids are stuck together. No joke, it feels like when you close your eyes that you cannot close them properly. It’s very easy to use, easily washed off and it is just pretty much the standard product that everyone used to begin with. I tried them on my boyfriend first, of course, so you basically put the double eyelid glue in that area you want to stick together so think of your crease like this and you wanna stick these two bits together once you push the crease in here. So this is why you use the fork for. You use the fork to test out how big you want that particular crease and once you’ve created that, you can either mark a line to begin with. People that do this everyday kind of really know already where they wanna do this but, if you’re new you can… I used an eyeliner to kinda mark a line, and then you basically spread the glue all over your eyelids in kind of like a semicircle shape all over the… above that line and below that line in like a little moon shape and then what you wanna do is, when it’s a bit tacky, you push it in at that line and then hold it there until your skin sticks together like this. And after it’s stuck together, it should really hold the shape. It’s best to do this after you put on your eye makeup because it’s actually gonna be really hard to put on your eye makeup on afterwards, so I would do this as a last step. I also tried it on my eyes as well. I basically just went for it. Apply the glue, push it in and I got a thicker double eyelid. I find that this product doesn’t hold very well and it’s not my number one choice but, if you want the first step into using double eyelid glue, you may wanna try this but, yeah, I find it didn’t hold for very long. Could be my fault ’cause I bought it from Daiso. Even if you just wanna buy it for this little tool, might be worth it just for this ’cause this can help create double eyelids with the other products as well. The one good thing about this product compared to the sticker though, it is not as obvious when you close your eyes. You don’t see this big, glaring sticker. And also, putting makeup on and then doing this after makes a nicer makeup, I guess, style versus trying to put your makeup and eyeshadow over this weird sticker thing. But a lot of people that use stickers, I find, don’t put on eyeshadow. The might just put an eyeliner in the sticker, and that way it looks still very natural because you’re not trying to cake on this eyeshadow on top. [ FIBRE ] The final product I’m gonna be talking about is pretty much the most popular eyelid product in Japan right now and this is kinda like the standard now, very innovative and it solves a lot of the issues that the other two eyelid products create and this is the eyelid, I guess, stick your eyelid… beeeewb! These are by a brand called Mezaik and I guess they were the first ones to come out with them ’cause when I went to Japan, maybe like five or even seven years ago, they had these and it was like the most popular eyelid product. They come in this really interesting little tube shape like this, it’s like a plastic tube, and inside this plastic tube is a little string of glue. So if I pull it out, you can see it becomes this little gluey thing. It’s really stretchy, it’s really sticky, it’s very thin and see-through. It’s water resistant and water-proof, so you can even take a bath with it, it won’t come off and that’s why this has been a very popular product, it’s very easy to use as well. Let’s jump in and have a look at how this works. So, first of all, I’m going to try it on my boyfriend’s eyelids, which is his monolids. So, again, we have that line with that little mark so I’m gonna be following that line again and you basically open the tape, which stretches out that little stretchy bit in the middle and then you stick it out and follow that curve over your eyelid crease and then when you open your eyes it should create that crease. Now, the scariest part of using this product is cutting off the little ends, so I’m using this really fine almost like surgical scissors and I’m cutting off the ends of this eyelid tape and I accidentally almost nicked my boyfriend in the eyelid… which he was very unhappy about! but that’s something that you will get used to while using this product, you have to be very precise with the cutting or you may hurt yourself, so be careful! After you cut this off, you will be left with this line and, it’s very very invisible. When you close your eyes, you can hardly see it in comparison to the tape. Also your eyelids are not glued together. The chance of hold for a heavy hooded eye, it holds similar to the sticker as well, if you buy a really really good sticker! And then I tried this product on myself. This is pretty much my go-to eyelid product when I do use double eyelid, like, products, tape or glue, stickers, this is my favorite because it’s invisible. So I just stretch it out and put it on my crease that I want. Cut off the ends, which is of course the scariest part, specially when you’re on camera and… I got my boyfriend to hold up a mirror for me at this time because it was so scary to do this without, with just a mirror that far away, you really have to get up close to cut this off and then, that’s it! I use the little fork thing to kinda reinforce the crease and push the whole product onto my skin. Feel free to apply your eye makeup on after. If you apply it before, sometimes the powder will prevent this sticker from sticking well onto your eye and it won’t be as firm. You’ll still see a little bit like of a strip, but it will be very thin and you’ll only be able to see it when you close your eye. So yeah, this is my favorite of all time.
