One Brand Tutorial Nyx Cosmetics | Drugstore Affordable Cruelty free @phyrra

Hey, everyone. Welcome back and hello to you new people too. Today, I’m doing an all one brand at the drugstore
tutorial with NYX Cosmetics. I’m going to go ahead and jump right in. The first thing you do is apply your eyeshadow
primer. I’m using NYX Proof It today. I’m going to take this skin tone shade right
here. This is the Bossy quad and I’m going to put
this on my lid and the hood of my eye. Now, I’m not going to lie. This is my third attempt at making this video. I’ve come to the conclusion that I do not
get along with NYX Eyeshadow. It’s just not for me. I understand that it’s something that other
people love but I’ve had a very difficult time working with it. I’ve got three palettes here. I’ve tried to do a look with some combination
between them and just failed utterly. I’m going very simple with this because I
really want to get to the other products that I bought to show you. I’m not going to lie, I don’t tend to find
NYX Eyeshadows to be as pigmented as I would like so I don’t find them easy for me to work
with. I’m going to use Magnetic with a damp brush. What I’m going to do is put this on my lid
just so that I have a little bit of sparkle on it. This is basically just a golden peachy color. I’m going to use the taupey color with this
detailed smudger brush along my lower lid. I’m really just brushing this along the lower
lid. I’m going to take the gray color from the
Bossy quad and use the Urban Decay tightline brush. I’m basically hitting the outer upper lash
line with this gray color to give me a little bit of soft definition. I guess I’m going to go halfway in. I’m going to do this against the roots of
my lower lashes too. I’m going to be using the Illuminating Primer. I’m going to be to using the NYX HD Foundation
in Nude. I don’t know if this is a match for my skin
tone or not. I had somebody tell me it should be perfect. We’ll see. This is a Real Techniques stippling brush. This is the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Black
and I’m just going to use it to add a little bit more definition at my brows. This is Sweet Spring blush. This product was the single most exciting
product that I have out of everything that I bought to do this video. This is the #NoFilter Powder in Alabaster
and this is my finishing powder brush. I’m going to use this Kat Von D brush instead. Kind of exciting that I’m going to be using
all these products for this first time. Now, if you want to add mascara, I recommend
the NYX Doll Eye mascara. That was always a great one when I was still
applying mascara. This is Bright Idea Illuminator in Lavender
Lust and I’m just popping this on the top of my cheekbone. I’m going to take my finger and blend it out. This is Silk Naturals Holo Back. I know that Lavender Lust is too subtle for
me because I did try that one before. I’m just blending really softly with my Real
Techniques setting brush which is what I used to apply the highlighter. Normally, I use a fan brush for this but I’m
just really, really soft with blending. I need to highlight my eyes. I’m using this Sigma E47. I’m highlighting the outer half. I’m taking my Iconic eyeshadow brush to just
blend the edge of this and then blending it in a downward stroke away. I have two different lip options for this
look since this is so, so light. I probably will like the second one better
but this lip is Nude Beach. Here’s my finished look with the nude, natural-looking
lip, Nude Beach. Not the look you normally see on me but not
bad. I’m going to go and switch to the other lip. I’m filling in my lips with Prune pencil. My camera shut off, sorry. All right, so my pencil is on. I’m going to put on Cherry Skies. This is the finished look with Cherry Skies. I definitely prefer the red lipstick. I had a lot of fun putting together this all
one brand drugstore look with NYX Cosmetics for you. The products that I personally liked the best
are the Micro Brow Pencil, the lip products, the Alabaster #NoFilter Powder, the HD Foundation. I like the sprays that I got too. I wasn’t really a fan of the eyeshadows and
the blushes were okay but not my favorite. Same with the highlighter. If you like seeing these all one brand tutorials,

Is the NYX HD Foundation in nude actually pale? I honestly thought they didn't make any pale foundations!

  • metalchickyboo says:

You look absolutely stunning! love your hair combo and shirt!

  • Rebecca Clayburn Wright says:

Love the all one brand video. Would love to see more.

  • Puglove 89 says:

    Loving the new hair ….

  • Jerklord says:

I love all one brand tutorials. Great way to see what a brand offers. I have trouble with NYX shadows as well. I usually only buy them when doing halloween looks (I often use white shadow as powder on halloween). Recently I bought the Go-To palette in Bon Voyage and was surprised that it was more pigmented than other NYX shadows. And I love the #NoFilter powder.

Love the one brand videos and love the red hair with the red lips❀️ NYX eyeshadows are hit or miss for me, the newer palettes (16 eyeshadows the ones like viseart) are great, ppl love the avont palettes ( I didn't try them) I love smaller palettes they used to have (may be still on their website) "love in paris" I think that what they called!!They have great great eyeshadows and other bad ones, so it's a pure luck with the NYX eyeshadows for me😊

  • Dizzyknitsandcurls says:

great look, cherry skies is one of my fave reds ever! what did you think of the plush formula? I really found the texture super weird, I almost never reach for it .

  • Allison Cohen says:

Great idea. Too bad about the eye shadow. I don't think I've tried any of their shadows. Your new lashes look great!

  • Emily Rachel Gilley says:

Also does the NYX Illuminator have fragrance? I had to stop using the Becca Backlight one

  • Elena R. says:

I need to start using "Cherry skies" ❀… BTW, I love you new hair color ❀❀❀

  • beautybybrookn says:

  • Liz Bzz says:

I don't have many nyx products and for some reason they don't really attract me

  • pam arruda says:

Love the new hair, great video!!

  • Rachel Runyan says:

Cherry skies is perfect with your new hair color. I love Nyx, but their eyeshadows can be really hit-or-miss. I like the all one brand tutorials. They give me an idea of what to expect from a brand.

  • Cindy Ingalls says:

I do love NYX but I cherry pick the line. That being said, the majority of their products are good quality and great priced!

  • Marcia Friedman says:

I only trust NYX eyeshadow when I see the products on a trusted blog. I've got some that are good but some that just don't show up. I like the look of the cream blush and need to check that out for sure.

  • Josiedog says:

Hi , I was wondering if you could compare 2 MUG shadows for me? I'm trying to decide between Barcelona beach and band wagon ? just wondering if they are very different? Sorry to ask here but I couldn't log on to your blog! : )

  • SharlzG says:

The second lip colour looks great on you – it also perfectly sets off your new hair look which, btw, I love

  • silverlocusts says:

That lip with your hair is amazing.

  • Marmalade Queen says:

I love this haircolor so much. Wow you look amazing!

  • Daena O. says:

I have never had good luck with Nyx's eyeshadows. I thought it was just me — everyone seems to love them! But I can never get good color payoff. I like their lipsticks and some face products though.

  • SouthernMel says:

I like this one brand video! And the look is pretty. I agree about their shadows, they aren't user friendly lol But I love the micro brow pencil!

  • LookLikeThis says:

    Turned out great

  • Jessica Buller says:

that prune pencil is a gorgeous color on you! you have the perfect coloring for it. and i agree the red lipstick is best of the two for you, instead of the nude.

  • CforCalamity says:

I haven't tried the HD foundation but it looks really good on you! If that's the lightest shade (I assume it is) it might be a bit dark on me. That dark red lip is FAB.

  • Denise Marie says:

Great look here with the softer eye and magenta hair. Nyx and I don't get along….it happens! πŸ˜€

  • IamBonnieBBon says:

Since you asked πŸ™‚ I love one brand looks videos. Most brands have a stand out product or two that you always hear about but this type of video can turn up unexpected surprises.

  • Liz Torres says:

Very pretty and soft look. I'm surprised you went this simple on the eyes.
